Transformative Action Program 2

Date: Sep 18th, 9:00 - 12:00 @BTH
Theme: The Future of Sustainable Transport in Karlskrona

It is a great pleasure for Karlskrona Sustainability Fest and The Energy and Transport Research Team at BTH to invite you to participate of an action day for the co-creation of a Sustainable Transport System in Karlskrona on the 18th of September from 9 to 12 at BTH as a kick off Transformative Action Program 2: The Future of Mobility in Karlskrona.

One of the greatest environmental and societal challenges cities faces today lies in mobility. People need an extensive network of vehicles and transportations system to uphold societies and economies. Cars, Busses, Trains, Trucks, Boats and others modes of transport each leaving their permanent mark on the environment. Problems are evident at a local level: too much idle capacity of cars, traffic, lack of parking spots; and a global level increasing of CO2 (nearly one-third of global CO2 emissions comes from the transport of people and goods), oil-extraction pollutions, landfills, and oil-wars.
